Jake Elliott
Position: Assistant Coach
Beginning in his first year as an assistant sand volleyball coach is Jake Elliott.

A local member of the Charleston community, Elliott graduated from the College of Charleston in 1999 and served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Cougars' volleyball program in the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

After graduation, Elliott played beach volleyball professionally on the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) Tour for 11 years. He was ranked in the top 48 players in the country, while sporting numerous top 10 finishes.

Elliott was tabbed as the top player on the east coast for several seasons, and he partnered with gold medalist Riley Salmon for two seasons on the AVP tour.

"We are very excited to have Jake Elliott join our talented volleyball coaching staff at the College of Charleston," Kepner said. "He has extensive national and international experience in beach volleyball while also being actively involved in the Charleston community. We look forward to utilizing his expertise as we embark on the NCAA's first season of sand volleyball."

A world traveler who has competed in Italy, Jamaica, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and represented the U.S. in Brazil on the World Tour, Elliott has also kept close ties to the lowcountry by helping to start the Carolina Beach Volleyball Group, a local volleyball clinic and camp for children. He has been involved in numerous local clinics and tournaments for all skill levels, including the Kerri Walsh clinic in September that College of Charleston players volunteered with.

Elliott currently resides in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Adria, and three children, Maggie, Jacob and Falon.
