2011: Appeared in all 18 matches and started in 17 as a freshman... averaged over 79 minutes per game... made his presence known immediately as he exploded onto the scene as a freshman forward and was included on the SoCon all-freshman team... tied for the team high in goals with six and added two assists... scored two goals including the game winner against Winthrop on Sept 9... attempted 17 shots, placing 10 on frame for a .588 shot-on-goal percentage... strung together a three-match goal-scoring streak in early October.

Before Charleston: Currently plays club soccer for the US Soccer Academy Seattle Sounders U17/18 program... helped his former club team, Washington Premier, to a first-place finish two years in a row in the Northwest Division (2009-10)... led Washington Premier team to the US Soccer Academy Finals Week in 2009... member of Washington Olympic Development Program team from 2006-08 that was a Region IV semifinalist in 2008... 2009 Adidas Elite Soccer Program selection ... captain of Todd Beamer High School... named 2010 News Tribune All-Area and was an all-state selection in 2009 and 2010... named 2009 Seattle Times All-Area team... ranked 55th on TopDrawerSoccer.com's Top 100 Recruits.

Personal: Son of Eileen and Mike Peterson ... born July 26, 1993... one of two children, sister, Nicole, is currently playing at the University of Dayton. 

Peterson on choosing the College of Charleston: "The College of Charleston impressed me because of its friendly atmosphere, great coaches and academics. I have a feeling that the soccer program is going to do big things.  I'm looking forward to making a difference and being a part of something special, while fulfilling my academic needs."

Coach Lundy on Peterson: "Troy is a tremendous two-way central midfielder who can set the tempo of a match.  He has the ability to get forward and score goals and does well in possession also. He is a tremendous addition to our program and I look forward to him coming this fall."
