CHARLESTON, S.C. - Junior men's basketball player Andrew Lawrence (London, England) and junior women's basketball player Latisha Harris (Aynor, S.C.) earned College of Charleston Student-Athlete of the Week honors sponsored by Piggly Wiggly for the week of Nov. 5.

Lawrence led the Cougars to an 87-85 double overtime victory over Chattanooga on Saturday with a career-high 25 points. Five of his points came in the last 10 seconds of regulation as he pulled the Cougars to within one with a three-pointer and then hit a coast-to-coast layup as time expired to send the game into overtime. He also dished five assists while only making one turnover in the win. Lawrence scored 14 points and made seven assists in the Cougars' win over The Citadel on Thursday night. For the week, Lawrence averaged 4.5 steals per game and a 3.0 assist to turnover ratio. Lawrence currently ranks first in the conference and 18th in the nation with an assist/turnover ratio of 3.23.

Harris recorded back-to-back double-doubles starting with 14 points and 14 rebounds against Furman on Dec. 3. Harris also blocked seven shots, to tie her for second most all-time in school history, and helped the Cougars set a new team record with 15 blocks. Harris followed that up with 10 points and 19 rebounds in the Cougars 49-44 win over Wofford on Monday. Harris's 19 rebounds are second most all-time in school history for a single-game.
