Matthew Willson, Class of '88 (Tennis)
Matt Willson graduated from CofC in 1988 and was honored as an NAIA All-American. He and doubles partner Eric Girard played for the CofC men's tennis team in the late 80's and captured the NAIA National Doubles Championship in 1987. They were also part of the 1987 NAIA national runner-up squad that lost by just one point to eventual champion Auburn-Montgomery. The Brevard, N.C., native played a serve-and-volley game and ranked in the top 10 in the nation in father-son doubles.
