CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's tennis team will close out its regular-season slate with a two-match Southern Conference swing this weekend in the state of North Carolina.

The Cougars (14-3, 8-0 SoCon) will have two tough road obstacles to pass in order to reach their goal of a third consecutive regular-season league title in Appalachian State on Friday, April 13 at 2:30 p.m. (ET) in Boone, N.C., and Davidson on Sunday, April 15 at 1 p.m. (ET) in Davidson, N.C.

They will put a seven-match win streak on the line after defeating crosstown rival The Citadel (6-1) on April 10 to continue their unbeaten stretch against league foes.

"We are really looking forward to this weekend's matches," CofC Head Coach Jay Bruner said. "It is always tough to play at App State and they have been consistently in the top 4 of our league. We are really coming together as a team as the season comes to an end. Davidson is always a challenge. We will have our hands full this weekend with both teams on the road as we try to secure the No. 1 tournament seed."

Also of note, CofC's top doubles tandem of senior Mickael Trintignac (Le Cannet, France) and junior Kyle Parker (Richmond, Va.) became the first duo since 2002 to be ranked in the latest Campbell/ITA Doubles National Rankings released on April 10. They are currently ranked No. 84 in the country with a 15-2 overall record and 6-2 mark in league play at No. 1 doubles. Former Cougars Sagi Zakin and Henrico DuPlessis were previously ranked No. 31 in the nation in 2002.

"I'm so proud of Kyle and Guga (Trintignac)," Bruner said. "This is our first ranked doubles team in the seven years I have been here and the national ranking is well deserved."
