CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston women's basketball head coach Natasha Adair has announced the dates for her three camps this summer.
"I'm really excited to be able to help teach the game of basketball to kids in the Charleston community and elsewhere," Adair said. "I think basketball is a fun sport and there can be many life lessons learned from the game as well."
The following is the information for each of the three team camps.
Team Camp June 8th- June 10th
Team Camp is a fun and intense environment designed to challenge each team to compete as a group. Teams will participate in at least 7 games. Middle School, JV & Varsity divisions (AAU Teams Welcome)
Housing: area hotels or CofC dorms (reserved by team's coach)
Check-In: 12:00pm - 2:00pm June 8th TD Arena
Day Camp: June 18th- June 21st
Players will learn to dribble, pass, shoot, defend and be a part of a team. Games, races, and lots of one-on-one attention assure a fun time. 3rd - 12th Grades.
Check-In: Monday June 18th, 7:45am - 9am
Camp Times: 9am - 4pm
Elite Camp: August 4th - August 5th
All high school players are invited to join the Women's Basketball Staff and Cougar players as they will conduct a camp geared toward individual skill and position-specific skill development. Campers will receive personal attention, gain overall knowledge of the game, and learn take-home drills for further development. Also included are 5-on-5 games and individual competitions. Resident campers stay overnight. Meals provided by CofC dining services. 9th-12th Grades (7th and 8th Graders with Coach's Recommendation.)
Cost: Resident $180 Commuter: $150
Registration and Deposit due by Friday, July 13th.
