2014 Sand Volleyball: Dorton teamed with Emily Neideffer in the Cougars’ number one flight in 2014 … the pair went 2-14, playing against some of the top competition in the country … as a team they helped CofC to dual wins over LSU, ULM, Oregon, UAB and South Carolina.
2013: Named CAA Player of the Year and All-CAA First Team ... CAA Tournament MOP after downing 19 kills in championship match ... first player in CAA history to win Preseason Player of the Year and Player of the Year ... finished second in conference in kills (3.60/set) and points (437) ... won four CAA Offensive Player of the Week awards ... surpassed 1,000 career kills at CofC and Penn State with her 16-kill effort at JMU (10/4) ... posted a season-high 26 kills in a win at Towson (11/15), clinching the CAA Regular Season title ... only player in D1 volleyball to win conference titles in three different conferences (Big 10, SoCon, CAA).
2013 Sand Volleyball: Teamed with Andi Zbojniewicz in the second flight and became the Cougars' most successful pairing ... posted a 7-2 record on the season.
2012: Named AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, the first AVCA All-American in program history ... AVCA All-South Region ... All-SoCon First Team selection ... led team with 529 kills which was the most season kills in rally scoring era, ranking sixth all-time in CofC history ... her 4.20 kills per set in a single season ranks fourth in the CofC record books ... averaged 2.83 digs per set and totaled a team-high 17 double-doubles ... set program record for kills in an NCAA match with career-high 27 kills in CofC's upset of No. 23 Miami in NCAA First Round.
Before CofC: Transferred to CofC from Penn State University ... named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2009 as she helped lead the Nittany Lions to a National Championship ... was an AVCA Honorable Mention All-America and AVCA Mideast Region Freshman of the Year honoree ... ranked fourth on the team in kills with 276 and registered double digits in eight matches, including 13 kills in the National Championship match against Texas ... finished her freshman campaign with 66 blocks.
High School: At Delta High School, Dorton was a three-time AAU 18 Open All-American and a JVDA 18 Open All-America ... captained the Junior National Team that won the 2008 NORCECA Championship and was named the 2008 PrepVolleyball.com National Player of the Year ... was also the 2008 Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year ... played on club Munciana which was also the club team of teammate, Sloane White.
Personal: Majoring in psychology...enjoys watersports...sister, Kylie, played volleyball at University of West Florida.
