  • Earned medalist honors at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational with rounds of 71-71.
  • Finished sixth-place in his first tournament for the Cougars, at Invitational at the Ocean Course.
  • Finished in seventh-place at the Mason Rudolph Championship with a low round of 68 in the opening round.
  • Finished in eighth-place at the Gary Koch Invitational with rounds of 70-70-73.

Before CofC: Advanced to the round of 16 in the US Amatuer Championship this summer and finished in third-place at the Rice Planters Amateur June 18-23 in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Munroe shot rounds of 70-67-68-66=271 in his third-place finish at the Rice Planters Amateur, three shots back of the winner.

Other notable achievements on his amateur resume include a victory in the 2011 CPT Raintree Classic in Charlotte, N.C., as well as advancing to the round of 16 at the 2011 North Carolina Match Play Championship. Munroe also qualified for the 2009 U.S. Junior.

Munroe, a native of Charlotte, N.C., played high school golf at Providence, where he was a three-time letterman and the team's most valuable player in 2010 and 2011. Munroe was the conference and regional champion in 2010 and finished top-10 at the state tournament that year.

Munroe has a career best round of 64, which he set in 2008 at the Joe Cheves Junior Invitational at Mimosa Hills in Morganton, N.C.
