Cougars Host Fourth Annual CofC Dog Show

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women’s tennis team will host the fourth annual CofC Dog Show benefitting Pet Helpers on Friday, Nov. 30 on Rivers Green located behind the Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library.on the College of Charleston campus.

Registration will begin at 1:30 p.m. (ET) with a $5 donation per category, followed by the first event at 2 p.m. (ET). Students and the general public are welcome to enter their dogs or come out and support the cause by donating canned dog or cat food.

The show will be emceed by ABC News 4’s Dave Williams and will feature a judging panel comprised of local celebrities including Akim Anastopoulo, South Carolina Stingrays President Rob Concannon and Karen Seigel.

Prizes will be awarded in each competition including Best Dog in the World, Prettiest Mutt, Most CofC Spirit, Owner Look-Alike, Best Holiday Spirit and Best Tricks. Leashes are required.

“We are really excited to host the Dog Show again this year,” CofC junior Kelly Kambourelis said. “We had a great time last year and all of the girls are pet lovers, so we are happy to be able to work with a great cause like Pet Helpers for this annual event.”
