NORMAN, Okla. - College of Charleston rising senior John Duke Hudson (Sonora, Texas) was honored today by the Golf Coaches Association of America as they announced the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars.
Hudson, a Pre-Business Administration major at CofC, was one of 146 players in NCAA Division I to earn this honor.
"This is a great accomplishment for John Duke," CofC head coach Mark McEntire said. "It shows how well he is able to balance school and golf. I hope he can continue to excel in both areas and have an outstanding senior year."
Hudson had a stroke average of 74.91 with a low round of 70 and a season-best finish of third-place at the Kauai Collegiate Invitational in the fall. In the spring Hudson finished 25th at the Southern Conference Championship at the Daniel Island Club.
