"I am very happy and excited with our 2013 recruiting class," McEntire said. "This continues the trend and gives our program another excellent class."
Rainey, a native of Charlotte, N.C., has been ranked as high as 16th in the country in the class of 2013 and started the fall as the No. 1 ranked player in North Carolina. Over the last two years Rainey has six top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes.
Rainey earned medalist honors at the 2012 Charlotte Metro Junior Golf Championships, shooting rounds of 71-70 to claim the top spot. Rainey was also named 1st Team Boys' All-State by the Carolinas Golf Association/Tar Heel Youth Golf Foundation and full exempt status on the AJGA tour in 2011.
Rainey has a low round of 66, which he shot at the 2012 Joe Cheves Junior Invitational, where he finished 3rd with round of 71 and 66.
"His resume speaks for itself," McEntire said. "He is a top-10 machine and a complete player. I look forward to him getting here with the rest of our signees next fall.
Carpenter, a native of Aiken, S.C., is currently ranked eighth in the South Carolina Junior Golf Association rankings. He is a two-time All-State and three-time All-Region honoree and captain of his high school golf team.
Carpenter finished second at last year's South Carolina Junior Championship and features a resume with one win, four runner-up finishes, 10 top-five finishes and 18 top-10 finishes. His low round is 65 in the 2012 Webb Simpson event.
Carpenter has full exempt status on the AJGA and is a two-time Georgia/South Carolina team member and a 2013 Cam-Am team participate.
"Ryan is one of the best players in our state in the class of 2013," McEntire said. "He is a tremendous ball striker and is not afraid to shoot low numbers. His attitude is very positive and he works to get better every day."
Mahle, a native of Lexington, Ky., capped off a great summer of golf by qualifying and making match play at the U.S. Junior Championship.
Over the last two season Mahle has won nine events, captured nine top-five finishes and seven top-10 finishes. His most recent victory came Sept. 25 at the Regional 9 Tournament, where he bested a field of 110 players, shooting 71.
Mahle has a low round of 68, which he shot at the GRC Invitational en route to a runner-up finish from a field of 95 golfers.
"Matthew can flat out play golf," McEntire said. "He is a very consistent player and manages the course as well as anyone I have seen. He is also a very fierce competitor."
