Going up against tough competition at South Carolina last week, Gibbons placed fourth in the one-meter dive (294.35) and fourth in the three-meter dive (288.40).
His top season time of 321.75 in the one-meter dive has Gibbons qualified for the NCAA Zones meet, the first qualification for a CofC diver in program history. His scores in both dives continue to lead the conference as he will look to defend his CCSA title in next month's championship meet.
This weekly honor marks his fourth such award this season and 14th weekly award in his career. The Cougars have won the CCSA Male Diver of the Week award in five out of the seven weeks that CofC has competed this season.
