Competing this past weekend at East Carolina, Gibbons placed fourth in the one-meter dive with a score of 280.57. He also placed third in the three-meter dive with a score of 285.00.
Gibbons, CofC's school record-holder, has a top season time of 321.75 in the one-meter dive which has qualified him for the NCAA Zones meet, the first qualification for a CofC diver in program history. His scores in both dives continue to lead the conference as he will look to defend his CCSA title in two weeks.
This weekly honor marks his fifth such award this season and 15th weekly award in his career. The Cougars have won the CCSA Male Diver of the Week award in six out of the eight weeks that CofC has competed this season.
