CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston Cougar Club has announced the hiring of Derek Davis for the position of development assistant.

Davis comes to Charleston from North Carolina State where he was an intern in the Wolfpack Club. Davis assisted with the Club’s capital campaigns and coordinated many of the organization’s special yearly events. He also worked with donor management technology and assisted with mass mailings.

“We are excited to bring Derek into our office where he will play a vital role in our daily operations,” Cougar Club assistant director April Albritton said. “Derek brings valuable experience and will immediately contribute to our donor relations in the Cougar Club.”

Along with his experience in the Wolfpack Club, Davis has also worked as a financial services officer at the N.C. State Employees’ Credit Union. He was also a sales consultant at Lifestyle Family Fitness.

Davis graduated from North Carolina State in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management.
