CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston Athletic Department has released the promotion schedule for the 2013 men’s and women’s soccer seasons.
Already one of the finest facilities to watch collegiate soccer, the promotion team has ensured the CofC soccer season will be fun for the entire family.
Season tickets are still being sold and are the best way to catch all the action at Patriots Point. Season tickets are only $15 for youth and $30 for adults and include admission to all men’s and women’s home games. For more information, contact the box office at (843) 953-COFC (2362).
Throughout the season, Sports Bingo and Kickin’ for Cash will allow fans to get more involved in the games and collect prices based on what’s happening on the field. During every home match, visit playsportsbingo.com on your smart phone to play CofC soccer bingo and win prices. At halftime, three fans will be brought down to the field for the chance to win Kickin’ Chicken cash by kicking a ball at different targets.
Birthday party packages are also available starting at $75. The package will include tickets and food for 10 in addition to giveaways, a visit from Clyde and a special announcement.
The men’s season kicks off with the Nike / Aaron Olitsky Memorial Classic over Labor Day weekend. The season premieres on Friday, Aug. 30with a match against No. 8 Akron, the 2010 men’s soccer national champion. Coca-Cola will be on hand with inflatable activities and Powerade tasting. Cougar Club members are invited to come out and “Meet the Coaches” prior to the match.
The tournament concludes on Sunday, Sept. 1 with SUN-day Beach Bash featuring an inflatable water slide while the Cougars take on Xavier.
The women’s team hosts Youth Soccer Day on Sunday, Sept. 8 and any young player wearing his or her soccer jersey will receive free entry into the match. The Girl Scouts will also receive free entry and badge-earning activities will be on hand. The Cougar Kids Club will also provide special activities and a giveaway to all Cougar Kids Club members.
The soccer programs join with The College’s Family Weekend by providing a ticket to and men’s and women’s game to anyone who attends Family Weekend. That weekend, the teams will be making their Colonial Athletic Association debuts as the women take on Northeastern on Friday, Sept. 27 and the men take on UNC Wilmington on Saturday, Sept. 28.
