Chris Horschel is in his fifth year at the College of Charleston and third year as Director of Sports Medicine. He is the athletic trainer for men's basketball, as well as, men's and women's golf.

Horschel joined the staff after servign as an athletic trainer at Bridgewater from 2003-08.  From 2001-03, Horschel was the athletic trainer at The Citadel where he earned his maste's degree in Education.  He also worked as an othopedic cast technician at MUSC from 1998-00.

Horschel served in the U.S. Navy from 1992-98 as a Hospital Corpsman.

Horschel earned a degree in Physical Education with a concentration in athletic training from the College of Charleston in 2001.  he is certified by the NATA and is also an American Red Cross Instructor for CPR/AED Essecntials.  He also serves as an Approved Clinical Instructor for the undergratuate athletic training curriculum program.

Horschel lives in Charleston with his wife Tiffany, a 2001 CofC graduate, and their daughters Darby and Lottie.
