Colby Mangum is entering her first year as a Graduate Assistant at the College of Charleston. Mangum will serve as the primary athletic trainer for track and field and cross country.
Mangum comes to the College of Charleston from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sports Science in May of 2010. Mangum served as a Student Athletic Trainer while completing her undergraduate coursework and assisted at the UNC Lacrosse and Field Hockey Camps. At the camps, she provided first aid, monitored hydration, taped, evaluated on-field and other injuries as well as transported and accompanied campers to necessary medical facilities.
Mangum has worked several professional internships as well and has experience with men's soccer, baseball, men's and women's cross country, lacrosse and gymnastics. She is also a member of the Carolina Student Athletic Trainers' Association and served as the Secretary from 2008-09 and President from 2009-10. Mangum was also an Office Assistant for the Department of Surgery at UNC hospitals from 2006-08.
