Jordan King is entering his first year as a Graduate Assistant at the College of Charleston. King will serve as the primary athletic trainer for the swimming and women's tennis teams.
King comes to the College of Charletson from Troy University where he graduated with a degree in Athletic Training in May of 2010. King was very involved with the Athletic Training Staff at Troy and worked extensively with the football, baseball, track, cross country, rodeo and basketball teams. King's responsibilities included proper documentation, field management, practice and game coverage, extremity taping, rehabilitation, application of therapeutic modalities, professional rescue and first response.
King has gained significant volunteer experience in the field as well. He administered physicals for Troy University and Pike County High School from 2008-09. He also assisted a physical trainer with proper application of therapeutic modalities and exercises at the Champion Sports Medicine Clinic in 2008. Additionally, King acted as a first responder and professional rescuer at the AISA Football State Championships, Coach O Invitational Cross Meet, Tony Franklin Football Passing Camps and USTA Professional Tennis Tournament.
