Dr. Bill Moore, Honorary (Faculty Athletics Representative)
Dr. Bill Moore was the College of Charleston's first NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative from 1991 until his death in 2009, serving in the Trans America Athletic Conference and the Southern Conference. He served as vice president and president of the Southern Conference during his tenure and was honored in the spring of 2009 by the league with a graduate scholarship in his name, given annually to a deserving student-athlete. Moore spent over 30 years dedicating his time and effort to mentoring and advising student-athletes. He was the long-time public address announcer for home men's basketball games, addressing over 450 games that spanned from the Silcox Gym to TD Arena.
