Stephen J. Yetman, Class of '83 (Basketball)

As a senior point guard under legendary College of Charleston coach John Kresse, Stephen Yetmen led the men's basketball team to the NAIA national championship title in 1983 and was named the tournament MVP. The tough kid from Brooklyn scored 70 points and handed out 36 assists during the five-game national tournament in Kansas City. His honored jersey hangs from the rafters at TD Arena due to his success in the 1980's era. Yetman still ranks among the top 15 players in school history in career assists (317) and led CofC with a team-best 174 in 1983.
