Alfred von Kolnitz, Honorary (Athletics Director)

Alfred von Kolnitz served as Athletics Director in the 1930s and played baseball for the College of Charleston as a student. A member of the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame, von Kolnitz was the first Major League Baseball player this century from the city of Charleston as he played for the Cincinnati Reds from 1914-15 and the Chicago White Sox in 1916.
