Samuel D. Meade, Class of '74 (Basketball)

A native Kentuckian, Sam Meade was a three-time NAIA All-District member and one of two players from the decade to have his jersey honored. He scored 1,812 career points from 1970-74 and in 1971 scored a school single-game record of 45 points against Clinch Valley, which still remains the most points scored in a single game in school history. Meade scored 30-or-more points a school-record 11 times and ranks fourth all-time in career scoring in the CofC men's basketball record books.
