Kenneth Gustafson, Class of '75 (Basketball)

Ken "Gus" Gustafson starred on the CofC men's basketball team as both a center and forward from 1971-75. He was a three-time NAIA All-District selection and was one of two players from the decade to have his jersey honored. Gustafson sealed his four-year career with 2,135 points and a school-record 1,484 rebounds, and led CofC to its first district postseason victory over Limestone, 100-88, in 1975. After graduation, Gustafson played professional basketball in Grenoble, France.  He has been a tremendous steward for the College for nearly four decades. Gustafson is a Founding Member of the 1770 Society and has served on the College's Foundation Board, Alumni Association Board and Cougar Club Board among his leadership posts. He ranks second all-time in career scoring in the CofC record books as his 36-year-old record was surpassed by Andrew Goudelock in 2011.
