CHARLESTON, S.C. - Riding a season-best 10-match winning streak, the College of Charleston women's tennis team will close out non-conference play with a doubleheader scheduled against UMass out of the Atlantic 10 Conference and Cornell out of the Ivy League on Thursday, March 22 at the CofC Tennis Center at Patriots Point.
First serve between the Cougars (14-4) and Minutewomen (8-6) is set for 1 p.m. (ET) followed by the nightcap with the Big Red (7-3) at approximately 5 p.m. (ET). A a pay-per-view live video stream for the doubles point against Cornell on the Charleston Sports Network will be available at: www.CofCSports.com.
CofC is coming off its highest-ranked win at the CofC Tennis Center since its opening in 2004 in a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over No. 44-ranked Oklahoma on March 20. The Cougars, three-time defending Southern Conference champions, remain an unbeaten 10-0 on their home courts this season.
"Cornell and UMass are two great programs," CofC Director of Tennis Angelo Anastopoulo said. "Cornell continues to get better each year. We will have to recover from an emotional and physically draining victory over Oklahoma to be well-prepared for two tough matches on a weekday. We are looking forward to welcoming both teams on Thursday."
