CHARLESTON, S.C. - The majority of the College of Charleston women's track & field will compete in the Duke Invitational April 6-7 and sophomore Dena O'Brien will travel west to the elite level Stanford Invitational April 6-7 as well.
Over 2,500 participants from over 50 institutions are scheduled to compete in the Duke Invitational at Wallace Wade Stadium this weekend. Field events kick off at 12:00 p.m. on Friday and track events begin at 1:30 p.m.
Stanford will host the 38th running of the Stanford Invitational on Cobb Track and Angell Field. The meet will get underway on Friday morning at 9 a.m. with the men's collegiate javelin. Running event begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. with the third heat of the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase.
O'Brien will compete in the second section of the women's 5,000-meter run on Friday at 7:20p.m. PT (10:20 p.m. ET).
These will be the final meets on the Cougars schedule before traveling to Cullowhee, N.C. April 21-22 for the Southern Conference Outdoor Championship.
