MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's tennis team won four-straight singles matches to counter a 2-0 early deficit to edge Georgia Southern, 4-3, on Senior Day at the CofC Tennis Center at Patriots Point.

The Cougars (13-3, 7-0 SoCon) lost a hard-fought doubles point as senior Mickael Trintignac (Le Cannet, France) and junior Kyle Parker (Richmond, Va.) improved to a team-best 14-2 on the season at No. 1 doubles with an 8-4 win over GSU's Andrew Dromsky and Alain Garrido.

The Eagles (1-19, 0-9), who have yet to win a Southern Conference match this year, rallied to win the doubles point with close battles at the No. 2 and No. 3 lines.

In singles play, Marco Osorio defeated junior Stephen Hardy (Fairfax, Va.), 6-2, 6-2, at No. 6 to increase the GSU lead to 2-0 in the match.

Straight-set victories by sophomore Crescente Lesser (Santiago, Chile) at No. 4, Mickael Trintignac at No. 1 and freshman Alon Faiman (Ramat Hasharon, Israel) at No. 5 led to the eventual match-clincher by senior Tom Delme (Hamoir, Belgium) at No. 2 singles.

Up 40-30 in the final game of his second set, Delme returned serve on a back-hand winner to take down Alain Garrido, 6-4, 7-5, and keep the Cougars undefeated in league play at 7-0.

"I thought today was a great Senior Day," CofC Head Coach Jay Bruner said. "Chris Toussaint and Tom Delme played a great doubles match as a senior team. Once we got going with singles, Guga (Trintignac) and Tom both had tremendous efforts to lead us. They really picked up the momentum for the rest of our team and I was really proud of our senior leadership today to pull off the victory."

CofC will have a quick turnaround with a crosstown rivalry match at The Citadel scheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m. (ET).
