College of Charleston will face off against FAU in a dual on Friday, April 13 at 2 p.m. The first day of the tournament is reserved for sand volleyball programs that are currently among the 15 NCAA schools that are competing in emerging sport.
The second day of the tournament, with competition beginning at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, is open to all sand and indoor volleyball programs to enter pairs for spring training and competition.
College of Charleston has compiled a record of 4-3 in duals this season with two losses coming from Florida State and Pepperdine. The Cougars will await an announcement from the AVCA Sand Volleyball committee on Sunday night as to whether College of Charleston will be invited to the AVCA National Championship in Gulf Shores, Ala., on April 27-29.
The AVCA will select four teams to compete in the team division, and 16 individual pairings to compete in the pairs division. All four teams selected automatically have their top two pairs submitted to the pairs division.
