David White begins his second year as Director of Operations for the College of Charleston women's basketball team.
White coordinated travel and video for the Cougars and made several highlight videos to motivate the team toward big wins in the 2012-13 season. The Cougars won 16 games, the third most in the last 23 years of the program.
White, a native of High Point, N.C., was a video assistant at Wake Forest where he worked with Adair and the Deamon Deacons staff making highlight videos and worked closely with the Director of Operations.
"David White is a young professional in this business," CofC Head Coach Natasha Adair said. "His ability to create and think outside of the box was one of the main reasons why I wanted him on my staff. David accepts the task and gets it done effectively and very efficiently. David is a fun and energetic person who brightens up any room he enters. I know that he will help us do great things here at CofC."
White graduated from North Carolina in 2011 with degrees in political science and exercise and sport science.
While at North Carolina, White was a three-year manager for the women's basketball team under head coach Sylvia Hatchell. In that role he set-up for practice and games, worked with film and camps.
In his senior year, White was the head manager/assistant video coordinator for the team and worked extensively with film and scouting. White also worked with Roy Williams basketball camps in the summer during his time at North Carolina.
"I'm very excited to be here in Charleston working with the women's basketball team," White said. "Coach Adair has put together a great staff of coaches and I think she will do great things with this program."
