BOONE, N.C. - The Southern Conference Softball Championship is experiencing weather delays in the first day of competition due to heavy rains at the Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium on Wednesday morning and afternoon.
The tournament's first game between No. 8 Samford and No. 9 Furman, scheduled for 10 a.m., is now set to resume at 3:30 p.m. in the middle of the first inning.
The third game of the tournament between No. 3 CofC and No. 6 Western Carolina has been pushed back from 2 p.m. to a tentative start time at 7:30 p.m.
