SPARTANBURG, S.C. - College of Charleston's Hayley McMahon has been honored as the Southern Conference Women's Runner of the Week for her performance during the weekend of September 7-8, the league office announced.
The sophomore from Poughkeepsie, N.Y. won the rainy College of Charleston Invitational on Friday. McMahon covered the rain-soaked and water-logged course in 18:20.
McMahon led the Cougars to a first-place finish, ahead of conference foes Georgia Southern and The Citadel.
College of Charleston will return to action on September 15 in Rock Hill, S.C. at the Winthrop Invitational.
