MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – The College of Charleston men’s tennis team got off to a great start as the hosts of the Charleston Challenge at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point.

The squad managed to sweep doubles and win seven of eight singles matches against Southern Conference foe Wofford on day one of the three-day tournament.

"It was great to be at home today, the team played well together in doubles and had a focus in singles that we have not had this fall,” CofC Head Coach Jay Bruner said. “We will work to improve on each of these matches tomorrow and bring the same intensity."

The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. (ET) as they take on Appalachian State.
