CHARLESTON, S.C. - After their opening win over Coastal Carolina Friday night the Cougars travel to Connecticut for a matchup with the No. 2 Huskies Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

OPENING THOUGHTS

CofC head Coach Natasha Adair

On 56-38 win over Coastal Carolina

"It was a great first game and there was great energy in TD arena tonight. I'm so proud of my team and their fight and the way they played together tonight for the victory."

On getting her first win as a head coach

"The team has been coachable. It's been a fun group to be in the gym with and watch them grow. I challenge them every day because I know they have so much more in them. I want them to feel what success feels like. To see them come together as a team and fight through adversity, I'm really proud of them."

Senior Latisha Harris

On aggressive approach in opening game

"Everything we have been working on in practice, getting hit with the pads, I brought to the game. When it comes to being aggressive in the game you know you can't play soft because that is going to allow your opponent to take control of you."
