CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston swimming & diving will open the spring portion of the 2012-13 season with a home meet against Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) and Campbell on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. in the Stern Center pool.
The men's squad will compete against SCAD only, while the women will be going against SCAD and Campbell.
The Cougars concluded the fall segment of the season with second- and third-place finishes at the Wingate Fall Frenzy by the men and women, respectively.
Sarah Graif set a new school-record time of 50.95 in the 100-yard freestyle, breaking her own top time from last season. Classmate Pablo Ortiz scored a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:52.15.
This season, the Cougars have garnered six CCSA weekly honors this season, capturing three Male Diver of the Week awards, one Male Swimmer of the Week award, one Female Diver of the Week and one Female Swimmer of the Week honor.
