CHARLESTON, S.C. – The No. 61-ranked College of Charleston women’s tennis team will host East Tennessee State on Monday, March 11 at 1:30 p.m. (ET) at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
The Cougars (6-5) will be looking to bounce back after dropping a tough match on Saturday, March 9 vs. No. 34-ranked Penn State.
ETSU (4-2) is off to a good start, having beat Southern Conference opponent Appalachian State on Feb. 23.
“Tomorrow’s match will be a real challenge as they are the defending runners-up in the Atlantic Sun conference,” CofC Director of Tennis Angelo Anastopoulo said. “Coach (Yaser) Zaatini always does a good job of preparing their team. They have a great number one singles player so that should be a good challenge for Christin (Newman). We’re definitely going to have to be at our best but hopefully we’ll have enough to come out with a win.”
After tomorrow’s match, CofC will have a week of practice before the team returns to the court to square off against Wichita State (5-7) on Monday, March 18 at 1 p.m. (ET) at the College of Charleston Tennis Center.
