CHARLESTON, S.C. – The No. 71-ranked College of Charleston women’s tennis will look to extend its four-match winning streak with two conference matches in the next three days. The Cougars’ first match will be against Elon on Wednesday, March 26 at 1:30 p.m. (ET) at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C and the doubles point will be broadcasted on www.cofcsports.com via the Charleston Sports Network.
CofC (11-7, 3-0 SoCon) is coming off of a busy week when the team played six matches in seven days, capping it off with two conference wins this weekend at Davidson and Appalachian State.
Elon (14-3, 4-2 SoCon) has had a very solid season and is on a hot streak in conference play, having posted three straight wins over Western Carolina, Davidson, and Georgia Southern.
“It’s going to be a challenge to play a talented Elon team outdoors again after playing indoors all weekend,” CofC Director of Tennis Angelo Anastopoulo said. “We’ll have to be at our best to come out on top against Coach Anderson’s squad.”
After Wednesday’s match the Cougars will have one day of practice before facing off against UNCG on Friday, March 29 at Patriots Point.
