CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men’s tennis team will continue its five-match homestand with a broadcasted match against Lafayette on March 28 at 3 p.m. (ET) at the College of Charleston Tennis Center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. The Charleston Sports Network will be streaming the doubles point and the feed will be availabe via the multimedia tab on www.cofcsports.com.

CofC (8-6, 4-2 SoCon) has been on a hot streak recently, winning its last six matches.

The Lafayette Leopards (4-5) have also been playing well recently, picking up wins versus Holy Cross and Belmont Abbey in their last two matches.

The last time the two teams met was March 18, 2009 at the College. The Cougars came away with a 7-0 win in that contest so Lafayette will be looking to get even.

“This is the second time we’ve played Lafayette and it was a fun match the last time we played” CofC Head Coach Jay Bruner said. “It’s nice to get a match against a team we don’t normally play from a different conference. We’re happy to have them here and the weather’s starting to improve which I’m sure they appreciate. It’s great to keep playing on our home courts and for our injured players to keep getting healthier.”

After Thursday’s match CofC will have almost a week of practice before the team hosts cross-town rival The Citadel on Wednesday, April 3 at 4 p.m. (ET) at Patriots Point.
