CHARLESTON, S.C. – The reigning five-time Southern Conference champion College of Charleston women’s tennis team will host an NCAA Selection Show Watch Party on Tuesday, April 30 at The Alley Charleston located at 131 Columbus Street in Downtown Charleston.
The event will run from 5-6 p.m. (ET) and is free and open to the media and public.
The field of 64 teams for the 2013 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship will be announced via a live video stream on www.NCAA.com beginning at 5:30 p.m. (ET). First-and second-round women’s matches will be played on May 10-13 at host school sites.
CofC (20-8) is currently ranked No. 67 nationally in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Team Rankings released on April 23. The Cougars have earned an NCAA Tournament berth each year since 2009. They turned in their seventh-straight 20-win campaign under 2013 SoCon Coach of the Year Angelo Anastopoulo and claimed notable regular-season non-conference victories over Wisconsin (Big Ten), Kansas (Big 12) and Winthrop (Big South).
The full NCAA Championship bracket will be posted on the NCAA websites (www.NCAA.com and www.NCAA.org) 30 minutes after the completion of the selection show.
