CHARLESTON, S.C. – With the start of college basketball two weeks away, the College of Charleston Basketball Block Party will officially tip-off the men’s and women’s basketball teams’ 2013-14 seasons on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 5-7 p.m. on George Street (between Glebe and Saint Philip Streets).

This is the first chance for CofC students and fans of all ages to get a sneak-peek at both squads led by second-year head coaches Doug Wojcik and Natasha Adair.

Come celebrate a fun-filled evening of entertainment with the Cougars under the Spanish moss-covered live oaks and DJ Natty Heavy spinning tunes. There will also be face painting, a balloon maker, photo booths, a large inflatable sports course, free food for students and much more.

Redshirt freshman men’s basketball guard Canyon Barry (Colorado Springs, Colo.) will host a clinic on the art of the underhand free throw, while senior women’s basketball guard Alyssa Frye (Chester, Va.) will display the correct form of shooting a three-point shot.

Be the first to enter a season-ticket raffle for a chance to win two free CofC Basketball season tickets or pick-up your season tickets in advance of the men’s and women’s November home openers at TD Arena.
