Women’s Basketball Home Game Times Announced

CHARLESTON, S.C. –  Game times for the College of Charleston women’s basketball team’s home schedule has been released, as announced by head coach Natasha Adair.

The Cougars will host Lander University in exhibition play on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 4 p.m. (ET) at TD Arena followed by their home opener against Kennesaw State on Friday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m. (ET).

The Cougars then take on South Carolina State, Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. (ET), followed quickly by a critical matchup against Atlantic 10 power George Mason on Monday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. (ET).

A Saturday, Dec. 21, date with Coach Adair’s alma mater, the University of South Florida awaits the Cougars – with tip off commencing at 12 p.m.

The Cougars will face East Carolina on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 7 p.m. (ET) and then return to TD Arena to ignite their inaugural CAA campaign against William & Mary at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12.

After a brief two-game northeast road swing, the Cougars are back in action at TD Arena on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. (ET) against Towson and then again on Sunday, Jan. 26, against NCAA Tournament sweet-sixteen participant Delaware, at 2 p.m. (ET).

Next up is 2012 NIT Champions, Drexel, on Friday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. (ET), followed by a Sunday, Feb. 9, clash with Northeastern at 2 p.m. (ET) at TD Arena.

Long Island natives Hofstra visit the Lowcountry on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 3:30 p.m. (ET). Eleven days later on Thursday, Feb. 27, James Madison comes to town with tip-off scheduled for 11:30 a.m. (ET). The early start time is in accordance with ‘Education Day’, an annual event intended to bring local school children to TD Arena for a game.

Senior night, the final conference home game of the season, is set for Wednesday, Mar. 5, against UNC-Wilmington. This year’s talented senior class is comprised of floor-leader Jillian Brown, sharp-shooter Alyssa Frye and slasher Afreyea Tolbert as well as point-guard Brittany Johnson and power-forward Deidre Ramer.

The Cougars’ television schedule will be announced later this month at CAA Basketball Media Day on Oct. 22 in Baltimore, Md.
