JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - College of Charleston finished third in the team portion of the UNF Invitational, completed on Sunday morning, while top pairing Elyse Chubb and Lizzie Theesfeld placed ninth in Sunday's bracket competition.

As Saturday's pool play was completed on Sunday morning because of rain, College of Charleston moved into third place out of seven teams in attendance. The Cougars finished ahead of host UNF, UAB, Jacksonville and FAU. Florida State took first place while Hawaii came in second.

In Sunday's bracket play, College of Charleston opened with two squads in the gold bracket, two in the silver bracket and one in the bronze bracket. After a day of competition, the CofC top pairing of Chubb and Theesfeld finished ninth overall among all competing pairings.

CofC's number two pairing of Emily Shelton and Kelly Kolich placed 13th overall. The three group, Kerstin Koehler and Andi Zbojniewicz, and the fourth group, Sloane White and Emily Neideffer, each came in 20th place.

The Cougars' fifth pairing of Catey Warren and Taeler Davis won first place in the bronze division bracket.

College of Charleston will next compete in the Fiesta on Siesta Keys on April 14 at Siesta Keys, Fla.
