CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston men's tennis hosts its first of three straight home matches on Wednesday afternoon when crosstown rival The Citadel visits for a 2 p.m. match.

The Cougars (11-5, 5-1 SoCon) are coming off a successful weekend on the road where they earned wins at Chattanooga and Samford. Senior Tom Delme (Hamoir, Belgium) and sophomore Stephen Hardy (Fairfax, Va.) kept their perfect conference records intact at the third and sixth spots, respectively. Both have won the last eight matches and have paired up at the No. 2 spot in doubles, currently leading the team with a 10-6 record.

The Bulldogs (3-18, 0-8 SoCon) are still on the hunt for their first conference win of the season. The team is led by sophomore David Orces, who boasts a 13-8 record as The Citadel's No. 1 seed in singles. Orces will go up against CofC's Lukas Koncilia (Tyrol, Austria) who went 2-0 at the top spot last weekend and has an 8-7 overall record.

College of Charleston currently sits in third in the Southern Conference but has the opportunity to move into second place on Wednesday with a win over The Citadel. Top-ranked team Elon (14-5, 6-0 SoCon) will face UNC Greensboro (13-4, 6-1 SoCon) at 2:30 pm. A loss by Greensboro would allow the Cougars to jump ahead in the standings.
