CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston women's golf head coach Jamie Futrell has announced the signing of Julia Neumann (Berlin, Germany) and Morgan Webber (Moore, S.C.), who will join the team starting in 2012.

"We are very pleased to have signed Julia and Morgan to National Letter of Intents," Futrell said.  "I feel that both girls are potential impact players for us in 2012.  Julia has been very successful while playing an extensive international tournament schedule.  Morgan has demonstrated that she can compete on a very high level as well."

Neumann, a native of Berlin, Germany, is the 21st ranked women's amateur golfer in Germany. Neumann led her club team, Berliner Golf Club Gatow to the 2011 Division Two German Team Championship.

She also made it to the second round of match play in the 2011 British Girls Championship and the quarter final round of match play at the 2011 Spanish Ladies Amateur Championship.

Webber, a native of Moore, S.C., is the number three ranked 2012 recruit in the state of South Carolina. Webber is a three-time All-State selection at Dorman High School and averaged 35.5 during her senior year at Dorman.

She has played in some top-notch tournaments including the 2010 U.S. Junior Girls Championship and finished second at the 2011 Beth Daniel Junior Azalea, shooting a tournament-low 67 in the final round.

The Cougars continue the 2011-12 season Feb. 26-28 as they host the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic on Kiawah Island.
