Steffi Kirchmayr Earns European Ladies Tour Card

La Manga Club, Spain - Former College of Charleston women's golfer, Steffi Kirchmayr, of Pocking, Germany finished fourth at the Ladies European Qualifying school in January.  The fourth place finish earned Steffi her tour card for the Ladies European Tour.

 

 Her first professional event will be in Australia in February.  Kirchmayr finished 3-under for the five rounds in the final qualifying stage shooting 70-73-72-69-74.  She joins former CofC golfer, Joanna Klatten, on the ladies professional tour.

 

Kirchmayr was a two-time SoCon Player of the Year at the College of Charleston earning the honor in 2007 and 2008.  She still owns the all-time career scoring average at CofC with a 74.82 career average. She had a personal best season of 74.08 in the 2007-2008 season earning Golfweek Honorable Mention All-American honors.

 

The Cougars open their spring schedule Feb. 26-28 as they host the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Classic.
