Cougars 14th after First Round of LSU Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. - The College of Charleston women's golf team shot a team score of 34-over 322 and are in 14th place after the first round of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic.

Junior Vanessa Koechli led the way for the Cougars as she shot a 3-over 75 and is tied for 13th place individually.

Senior Leigh Whittaker was next for the Cougars and she shot a 6-over 78 and is tied for 35th.

The Cougars will tee off tomorrow starting at 8:30 (CT) and be paired with Notre Dame and Tennessee.
