CHARLESTON, S.C. - Freshman Shane Rogan was honored by the Southern Conference by being placed on the five-member All-Freshman Team following the conclusion of the 2012 Southern Conference Men's Golf Championship.
Rogan finished 24th in the tournament as he shot rounds of 76-75-73=224 (+8). Coming into the tournament Rogan was ranked 14th in the conference in terms of stroke average at 73.82 over 17 rounds of golf.
Rogan's best finish of the season came at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin, Texas, where he shot rounds of 71-70-71=212 (-1) and finished seventh out of 65 golfers.
"Shane had a great first year of golf for us," CofC Head Coach Mark McEntire said. "I think Shane will continue to grow in our program and build on his first year."
