Men’s Golf Signs Daniel Kim to 2012 Class

CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston men's golf coach Mark McEntire has announced the addition of Daniel Kim to the team for the upcoming year.

Kim, a native of Atlanta, Ga., went to school Westminster Schools in Atlanta and has a wealth of golf experience.

"I'm really excited to have Daniel coming to the College of Charleston and joining our team," CofC Head Coach Mark McEntire said. "He has a great attitude and work ethic and I think he will have a lot of success at the collegiate level."

Kim's most recent accomplishments include a top-10 finish at the PGA Junior at Clemson with rounds of 72-70-73. Kim, who has full exempt status with the American Junior Golf Association finished eighth at the AJGA Coosa in 2010 (71-72-72) and 18th at the event in 2011 as he carded rounds of 75-71-69.

Outside of the AJGA Kim competed in the US Junior Qualifier with scores of 74-69 and the US AM Qualifier with rounds of 71-69.

Kim has an outstanding academic record as well and will be a candidate for the Honors College at the College of Charleston.

Kim also considered Oregon, North Carolina, Michigan and Tennessee before deciding to commit to the College of Charleston.
