CHARLESTON, S.C. - Former College of Charleston slugger Daniel Aldrich was named a Perfect Game Summer Collegiate Third Team All-American.
Playing with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League, Aldrich hit .350 with 10 home runs and 40 RBI over the summer, earning a free-agent contract to play in the N.Y. Yankees organization several weeks ago.
Aldrich was selected as a Third Team outfielder for Perfect Game's summer All-Americans. The list also included Samford's Philip Ervin, Western Carolina's Julian Ridings, UNC Greensboro's Corey Taylor.
Aldrich finished the 2012 season with CofC with 11 home runs and 46 RBI, batting .287 at the plate.
