CHARLESTON, S.C. - College of Charleston senior setter Cole Dawley received recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association as an All-Region Honorable Mention selection.
Dawley become the first CofC volleyball athlete to earn AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention three times for her career.
Dawley, a First Team All-Conference selection and Player of the Year recipient from the Southern Conference led her team to a 29-6 overall record and a regular season conference championship.
Against Georgia Southern on Oct. 8, Dawley made history by becoming the first Cougar volleyball player to reach 3,000 assists, 1,200 digs and 200 blocks. Dawley finished her career at CofC ranked fourth on the all-time assist list with 3,737 and seventh on the career dig list with 1,331.
In her four years on the CofC squad Dawley helped the Cougars to a 100-34 overall record, five conference championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
