CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston volleyball program has announced that Grace Rebarchak, a middle and right-side hitter from Mobile, Ala., has signed her national letter of intent to come play with the Cougars in 2012.

Rebarchak currently attends St. Paul's Episcopal School where she recently led her team to the Class 5A state championship title for the second consecutive season and third time in her high school career. She earned MVP honors for the state tournament after leading her team with 17 kills and 13 blocks in the title match. She was also named first team All-State for the second year in a row.

She has been named All-County every season since her sophomore year, and set a new school record for kills in a season with 544.

"Grace is an outstanding athlete," head coach Jason Kepner said. "She already touches 10 feet two inches, and I feel she can still get higher with some strength. She has progressed a lot this high school season, leading her team to the state championship and being named MVP. She is definitely someone who I feel will be playing for us next year and will have an impact."

Rebarchak's club team, the Mobile Storm Club Team, won Alabama regional championships in 2010 and 2011.

Rebarchak is fully involved in her community, working for Habitat for Humanity and at a local veterans home.

Coming from an athletic family, Grace's sister, Catherine, plays volleyball for Purdue where she is a redshirt-sophomore. She has another sister, Vance, as well as two brothers in Michael and Jack. Michael is a basketball player for Birmingham Southern College. Grace's parents are James and Charlesa Rebarchak.
