The competition marked the end of the indoor spring training period for the 2011 SoCon South Division champions and tournament runners-up.
"It was a great weekend of play to finish up our indoor season," said head coach Jason Kepner. "We were able to get everyone a lot of time on the court and remain at a pretty high level. We changed a few things during the spring and it was great to see the team really focus on those changes and put them into action. I am excited for next fall, but I think everyone is now ready for the sand season."
In best-of-three matches versus the Bulldogs and Buccaneers, College of Charleston defeated the Citadel in the first (25-19, 25-15) and third (13-25, 25-19, 15-6) matches of the day, and beat CSU in the second (25-23, 25-16) and fourth (25-6, 25-19) matches of the day.
College of Charleston will open the spring sand volleyball season next week at the Aspire Higher tournament in Winter Haven, Fla., on March 5.
